Location
Two roles are available — one in Sacramento, California and one in Denver, Colorado. Both are hybrid: in office Tuesday–Thursday, remote Mondays and Fridays.
We've built a strong culture to foster valuable team relationships with both remote and California HQ team members. We host frequent trips during the year to bring the team together for extended face-to-face time and build deeper relationships. Past domestic excursions include San Diego, Newport Beach, and Lake Tahoe, along with international trips to Mexico, Belize, and the Dominican Republic.
Salary & Benefits
- $45,000–$55,000 annual base salary; $90,000–$100,000 OTE, with opportunity for growth and bonuses

About the Job
At Webconnex, we've created the most intuitive and easy-to-use event registration and ticketing software on the market. Event organizers from every background and industry use our software to organize and execute their events — from conferences to state fairs, festivals, sporting events, exhibitions, and more.
Through your outbound sales efforts, you'll work alongside clients ranging from independent event organizers to large, well-known brands, spanning every part of the country. You'll join a friendly, committed, encouraging, and professional sales team that aims to help you win in your role and grow as a person.
What You'll Be Doing
The purpose of the Business Development Representative (BDR) is to grow the company's customer base by setting appointments for our account executives. You'll take on a mixture of sales activity: tele-prospecting for targeted leads, developing future outbound calling strategy, and managing data and activity within the Webconnex sales systems.
- Outbound sales and business development
- Prospect via phone and email to generate a minimum of 25 potential opportunities per month for the Sr. Sales Team
- Follow up with webinar attendees
- Reach out to stalled deals to re-engage

- Experience in sales — preferably outside sales, business-to-business sales, and tele-prospecting

Essential Functions & Expectations
- Utilize our CRM and other tools to prospect via phone and email to follow up, nurture, and qualify leads
- Manage and keep up-to-date records on daily sales activity in the CRM
- Prospect, educate, and qualify leads to create sales-ready opportunities
- Maintain industry and technology knowledge to remain a trusted resource for prospects and customers, and successfully manage and overcome prospect objections
- Develop and maintain daily plans to maximize phone time, including pre-call planning and adhering to and customizing phone scripts
- Think outside the box and pursue opportunities that go above and beyond the job description to make our customers' lives better
