Sight & Sound Theatres is hiring a
Full Stack Developer

📍 Lancaster, PA

The Full Stack Developer will support the mission of Sight & Sound by developing custom software applications with a broad understanding of both frontend and backend technologies. They will collaborate heavily with internal team members and external stakeholders to accomplish the business’s technical goals and ensure systems are both reliable and secure.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build modern full stack software applications with proven industry technologies.
  • Refactor existing software applications, keeping up to date with industry best practices.
  • Write code in a variety of programming languages with frontend and backend technologies, such as TypeScript, HTML, CSS, Java, SQL, Angular, Spring Boot and more.
  • Review frontend and backend code written by others, providing constructive feedback.
  • Participate in visual and technical design discussions with an eye for detail.
  • Provision, maintain, and monitor cloud infrastructure, security, and billing.
  • Maintain continuous integration/deployment pipelines and DevOps workflows.
  • Lead documentation and training across the team regarding standards and best practices.
Prerequisites: 

  • Strong ability to collaborate with others who have various backgrounds and perspectives
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the Development Team as well as external stakeholders
  • Ability to develop a technical implementation plan based on business requirements and communicate the plan effectively
  • Extensive hands-on experience with both frontend and backend programming technologies
  • Knowledge of Agile software development practices
  • Understanding of DevOps principles including the full breadth of the CI/CD process
  • Basic knowledge of cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, and others
Recommended Certifications - 1 or more of the following: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), CompTIA Cloud+
