Remote Marketing Director

The Position
Church Media Squad is looking for a Marketing Director to join our growing Squad. At Church Media Squad, we exist to make church media better by helping local church ministries with all of their media related needs.
Our new Marketing Director will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies, driving brand awareness, generating and warming leads for the Sales Squad, fostering engagement, and managing all social media accounts for the company. This role is critical in helping us achieve our mission of making church media better. The Marketing Director is a full-time, salaried position.
All Church Media Squad employees work completely remotely. Full-time employees receive a company computer after their first six weeks. Church Media Squad is an Apple-only environment.

Church Media Squad is based out of Salt Lake City, UT. The state of Utah has the lowest percentage of Christians in the country, with the Salt Lake Valley having less than 5% who consider themselves part of the Christian faith. Qualifications:
- Proven track record in marketing leadership roles, preferably in a church-market business.
- Preference given to candidates who have 3-5 years of experience leading marketing efforts for a church-market business.
- Strong understanding of lead generation and nurturing strategies, content marketing, as well as brand management.
- Proficiency in social media management across various platforms.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
- Creative and strategic thinker with the ability to drive results.
- Must submit a portfolio link with the application showcasing a variety of marketing examples, including metrics on the campaigns’ effectiveness.
- Familiarity with these tools is a plus but not a requirement:
- Notion
- Meta Business Suite
- InDesign
- Squarespace
- WordPress
- Slack
- Airtable
- ClickUp
- We are particularly interested in applicants with experience working for a church. This firsthand experience enables us to better serve the church staff we collaborate with daily.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation & Nurturing: Develop and execute strategies to generate, nurture, and convert leads, supporting growth across all brands.
- Marketing Strategy: Create comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with TheSquad’s goals and adjust based on performance insights.
- Brand Management: Oversee brand consistency, ensuring messaging and visuals reflect our identity across all platforms.
- Multi-Brand Oversight: Manage marketing efforts for TheSquad’s three primary brands—Church Media Squad, Remix Church Media, and Church Circle.
- Content & Digital Marketing: Lead content creation, SEO, email marketing, and digital advertising efforts to engage target audiences.
- Analytics & Reporting: Track marketing performance, analyze data, and optimize strategies for better results.
- Campaign Management: Plan, execute, and evaluate marketing campaigns to promote products and services effectively.
- Market Research: Monitor industry trends, audience behaviors, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
- Vendor & Partnership Management: Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and outsourced marketing partners (e.g., CMN, Inkollective, Jonathan Malm) to support marketing initiatives.
- Department Leadership: Align the department with Squad Goals, lead bi-weekly check-ins, support hiring, manage conflicts, and oversee time-off requests.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with Squad members via Slack and participate in regular team meetings to ensure alignment.

- Reports to the CEO.
- Higher internet speeds are helpful for this position!
- This is a W2 Employee position with a starting salary range of $70,000-$80,000/year commensurate with experience and location.
