As a trusted ministry partner to the founder/CEO, you will have a key voice in shaping the future of our strategy, organization and product.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><br><strong>Software Development (60%)</strong></div><ul><li>Design a strategy and roadmap for Prayvine’s architecture and technology stack, based on user and organizational requirements.</li><li>Create applications and product features by writing high-quality code and documentation.</li><li>Diagnose and solve problems in response to user-reported issues and needs in a timely manner.</li><li>Collaborate with and drive results through a small team of highly experienced volunteer engineers who are currently building and providing support for our products.</li><li>Foster and support a culture of engineering best practices.</li></ul><div><br><strong>DevOps and Infrastructure Management (30%)</strong></div><ul><li>Manage and maintain cloud-based systems to ensure uptime, performance, and security.</li><li>Develop and support automated testing, deployment and monitoring with effective processes to proactively address system issues, identify security risks/concerns, and learn from failures.</li></ul><div><br><strong>Personal Support-Raising (10%)</strong></div><ul><li>Personal support fundraising is required to cover a portion of your salary. If needed, training and coaching will be provided. This is an important way to acquire an understanding of our users’ needs.</li><li>Regularly communicate your prayer needs with a personal team of ministry partners.</li></ul><div><br><strong>Qualifications<br>Required Skills and Experience</strong></div><ul><li>Understanding of and passion for Prayvine’s work, vision and users.</li><li>5+ years building consumer-facing web and/or mobile applications. B.S. degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related technical field.</li><li>Demonstrated ability and excitement for independent, high-velocity production of quality code following software best practices (e.g. continuous integration, automation, testing, code reviews) in a shared codebase.</li><li>Hands-on experience building beautiful, intuitive front-end interfaces that delight users, both with and without the use of front-end libraries and frameworks.</li><li>Hands-on experience building scalable backends using a mix of programming languages and databases.</li><li>Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and managing DevOps workflows.</li><li>Strong understanding of network security and application security best practices.</li><li>Highly self-motivated with a strong bias for action.</li><li>Expert at prioritizing and making smart choices with limited information or difficult trade-offs. Able to thrive in ambiguity.</li><li>Excellent communicator, with the ability and desire to collaborate with and support volunteers, and to engage users with empathy.</li></ul><div><br><strong>Beneficial Skills and Experience</strong></div><ul><li>A keen eye for visual and user experience design, with a strong sense of aesthetics, layout, and usability.</li><li>Proven track record of configuring and optimizing transactional and/or social email to improve deliverability and effectiveness and/or familiarity with protocols and standards of email.</li><li>Experience developing SMS-based messaging applications or features.</li></ul><div><br><strong>What We Offer</strong></div><ul><li>Global and spiritual impact.
